About Voedselbos het Landje

Between the garden park and the A10 ring road is a narrow strip of land of about 18 to 29 m wide and 400 m long. The strip is only accessible from the garden park and is known to gardeners as 'the land'. For several years now we have been busy transforming this land into an educational food forest.
We see a food forest as a designed system, aimed at sustainable food production and increasing biodiversity in a system that becomes stronger every year.
With this, Tuinwijck wants to offer a unique addition and role model in the area in the field of ecology and nature-friendly agriculture, where residents of Amsterdam North, young and old, can find pleasure, wonder, knowledge, meaning and social contact.
