TransAmsterdam

TransAmsterdam is a trans organization for arts, culture, and lifestyle. Our goal is to increase the visibility of transgender people and improve the perception of trans and non-binary people through arts and culture. TransAmsterdam aims to demonstrate that the transgender community is an integral part of society. To achieve this, we collaborate with various artists, including photographers, actors, poets, musicians, writers, filmmakers, and painters. We also collaborate with national and international trans arts and cultural organizations. In 2019, we established the Trans Art School. At our Trans Art School, trans people can participate in artistic, cultural, and lifestyle workshops. Through arts and culture, we demonstrate that trans people are more than just their gender. Art, culture, and lifestyle serve as the unifying forces that connect the transgender community as part of society. By promoting the positive visibility of trans people, we promote the emancipation and empowerment of transgender people in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and beyond.
