About Cascoland
Cascoland is a creative collective that is committed to a socially and ecologically sustainable society. We try to achieve this by creating public space, green spaces and neighbourhood-economic shared spaces, and setting up (self-)management of these spaces in collaboration with local residents, entrepreneurs and volunteers. We link social and environmental sustainability to awareness about food waste, waste production and reuse and promote the 'sharing of spaces and services as the new form of having', with, for and by neighborhood residents, with a focus on inclusivity. We initiate activities that improve the self-reliance, development and equal opportunities of adults and young people by creating encounters and cooperation, socio-economic development of local residents, transfer of knowledge from experienced local residents to young people and guidance of young people to learning/work places.
