Detailed description

The Re-Boost Foundation is looking for a committed General Board Member to strengthen our team!


Stichting Re-Boost supports young adults between the ages of 17 and 35 who are stuck in their personal and social development. We focus in particular on young people who have lost confidence in themselves and other aid organizations. With our intensive two-year coaching program, we help them increase their self-reliance and resilience, so that they can take their place in society again. Our organization is growing rapidly and to support this growth, we are looking for new board members who want to help us take Re-Boost to the next level.


As a General Board Member, you contribute to the policy and strategy of Re-Boost. You think about the course of the organization and support the board in various tasks. You can count on the following responsibilities:

  • Co-determining the strategic direction and policy of the foundation
  • Advising and supporting with fundraising and partnerships
  • Representing Re-Boost at events, meetings and networking situations
  • Actively contribute to board meetings and implement board decisions
  • Supporting the Re-Boost network by establishing contacts with external parties
  • Help create opportunities in the areas of financing, growth and collaborations

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and wants to build a stronger future for Re-Boost together with us. The ideal candidate has:

  • A broad network in the social domain, preferably with connections in the business community
  • A flexible and assertive attitude, with the ability to proactively address challenges
  • Experience with board or committee tasks is an advantage
  • Good oral and written communication skills (in both Dutch and English)
  • Affinity with the target group of Re-Boost: young adults from Amsterdam South East who need guidance on social-emotional and financial matters

Flexible time commitment; the position requires an average of 4 hours per week, with board meetings every 6 weeks. On a voluntary basis with the prospect of compensation after a period to be determined.

About Stichting Re-Boost

Re-Boost has been around for 10 years and stands for courage, is the pride of Amsterdam South East and offers young people and young adults the perspective to change course in their lives. The young people and young adults who come to Re-Boost have obstacles/problems in various areas in their daily lives. With the Booster program, Re-Boost offers them help to strengthen their identity, learn various work-related and social skills, and learn to be resilient so that they can become more firmly established in society.
