GIRLS FORWARD

Girls Forward is a preventive girls' organization in Amsterdam, which is committed to girls aged 10 to 27. The goal of Girls Forward is to increase girls' self-reliance, reduce social isolation and further develop their talents. We try to improve the lives of the girls by giving workshops and training courses that address social themes. To this end, we work closely with partner organizations, such as the Municipality of Amsterdam, youth workers and volunteers from the neighborhood.

We want to empower and help as many girls as possible. We believe in the ripple effect: by helping one girl, she becomes stronger and can give something back to the community. That is why we have developed a methodology for girls in which we consciously work on life skills for girls during our programs. To create even more impact, we want to offer our material online. This way, even more youth workers can be educated and trained to teach girls life skills in a playful way.

Role overview: As a Learning/Academy Expert, you will play a critical role in building and improving the Girls Forward Academy. You work on transferring existing modules to an online platform and ensure that these modules are attractive and interactive. You contribute to the development of programs that support social workers in coaching and empowering girls.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide a user-friendly digital platform with concise learning texts, interactive tests and engaging videos. Developing and managing an online academy platform.
• Converting modules to online formats (digitization)
• Creating inspiring and interactive online learning modules.
• Advising on and implementing techniques to make the online academy attractive.

Qualifications:

• Experience with academy or learning platforms.
• Experience converting live to online learning experiences.
• Expertise in making online academies attractive and engaging.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Passion for empowering girls and supporting educational initiatives.
